Champagne, France
Forget-Chemin
Forget-Chemin is in the Premier Cru village of Ludes in Champagne. It is a family-run
winery, managed today by Thierry Forget, a passionate 4 th generation grower-producer.
Grapes for all wines produced by Thierry and his team are from vineyards owned and farmed
by the family. Forget-Chemin is one of only 24 top Champagne houses selected to be in the
Club Trésors de Champagne.

The vines are on predominantly chalky soils in Montagne de Reims, the most northernly sub region of Champagne (and indeed, Europe). They have an average age of 31 years and are sustainably farmed. Thierry crafts several cuvées from the entry level Carte Blanche to the Special Club vintage champagnes made only in outstanding vintages. We believe Thierry’s wines are exceptional and look forward to working with him for many years.
Marie Forget Brut
All three major Champagne varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) from 4 crus go into this cuvée, named after Thierry’s daughter, who is integral to the winemaking team.
Primary fermentation is in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and aging is old 3,000 litre oak vessels. The base wine is a blend of 7 vintages and is aged for 24 months on lees before disgorgement and dosing at 8 g/l.

Marie Forget Brut Rosé
Forget Chemin’s Brut Rosé is made from a blend of 15% pinot noir with the remaining being white wine pressed from equal proportions of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. The fruit is sourced from vineyards in 5 Premier Cru villages sustainably farmed by Thierry and his team.

The base wine is aged in large neutral oak foudres after primary fermentation in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. For this cuvée, Thierry uses a solera system of blending for the red wine (going back to the 2002 vintage) and a blend from 7 vintages of the white wine. The wine is aged on lees for 24 months after secondary fermentation and prior to disgorgement and dosing at 11 g/l.
